News and Analysis 10/23/25

Israeli war crimes continue:

“There is no justification for the existence of the Film Production Permit Council in today’s Iranian society,” the directors said in their statement. “Filmmakers will no longer seek approval from a body that judges their way of thinking”:

“Hamas is resuming control and eliminating all those elements it perceives as threats to its hold on power, including individuals and armed groups that collaborated with the Israeli army during the war”:

The Zionist war on free speech — and the resistance — continues:

“[A]n Iranian government advisor who said in October 2025 there was ‘no mandatory law regarding hijab’ … later walked back those remarks and said head coverings must be worn”:

“[A]n attorney for his family said that Ibrahim was being held in Israel’s Megiddo Prison, where they said he had contracted scabies but been denied medical treatment”:

“More than three-fourths of the campaign’s targets include embassies, diplomatic missions, foreign affairs ministries, and consulates, followed by international organizations and telecommunications firms”:

So far Hamas has returned more than half of the bodies promised despite the difficulties posed by the Israeli devastation of Gaza while Israel has returned less than half of the bodies promised despite facing no such obstacles:

“For Palestinians, he’s already the ‘president in waiting’. For Hamas, his absence is both convenient and threatening. And for Israel, he is the question they would rather not face: what happens if there really is a credible Palestinian leader ready to talk peace?”
